Find the Fit That Feels Right

The perfect piece of jewelry should feel as beautiful as it looks.

At TEYSEN & CO., we understand that finding the right size online can sometimes feel uncertain. Our Size Guide is designed to make choosing your jewelry easier, more confident, and more personal.

Whether you are selecting a ring for yourself or choosing a meaningful gift for someone special, taking a few moments to find the right measurement can make all the difference.

Please use the guides below as a reference before placing your order.

Ring Size Guide

Find Your Perfect Ring Size

Ring sizing is personal. The same finger can feel different depending on temperature, time of day, and even the width of the ring.

For the most comfortable fit, we recommend measuring your finger when your hands are at a normal temperature and avoiding measurements immediately after exposure to extreme heat or cold.

Method 1 — Measure a Ring You Already Own

If you already have a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably:

  1. Choose a ring that fits the correct finger.

  2. Place it on a flat surface.

  3. Measure the inside diameter of the ring from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge.

  4. Measure in millimeters (mm).

  5. Compare the measurement with the ring size chart below.

Make sure you measure the inside diameter, not the outside edge of the ring.

Method 2 — Measure Your Finger

If you do not already have a ring that fits:

  1. Wrap a thin strip of paper or a piece of non-stretch string around the base of your finger.

  2. Make sure it is comfortably snug without being tight.

  3. Mark the point where the paper or string meets.

  4. Lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters.

  5. Use the circumference measurement to determine your ring size.

For the most accurate result, measure your finger more than once.

Ring Size Chart

US Ring Size Inside Diameter Finger Circumference
5 15.7 mm 49.3 mm
5.5 16.1 mm 50.6 mm
6 16.5 mm 51.9 mm
6.5 16.9 mm 53.1 mm
7 17.3 mm 54.4 mm
7.5 17.7 mm 55.7 mm
8 18.1 mm 57.0 mm
8.5 18.5 mm 58.3 mm
9 18.9 mm 59.5 mm
9.5 19.4 mm 60.8 mm
10 19.8 mm 62.1 mm
10.5 20.2 mm 63.4 mm
11 20.6 mm 64.6 mm
11.5 21.0 mm 65.9 mm
12 21.4 mm 67.2 mm

Measurements are provided as a general reference. Individual fit may vary.

Choosing Between Two Ring Sizes

If your measurement falls between two sizes, consider the design of the ring and how you prefer your jewelry to fit.

A wider band may feel more snug than a narrow band of the same size.

If you are between sizes, choosing the slightly larger size may provide a more comfortable fit, particularly for wider designs.

However, individual preferences and finger shape should always be considered.

Important Ring-Fit Considerations

Your finger size can naturally change throughout the day.

Factors such as:

  • Temperature

  • Time of day

  • Exercise

  • Water retention

  • Weather

  • Finger shape

  • Ring width

can affect how a ring feels.

For the best result, measure your finger at a comfortable room temperature and preferably at different times of the day.

Your ring should slide comfortably over your knuckle while remaining secure enough that it does not easily slip off.

Necklace Size Guide

Choose the Length That Suits Your Style

Necklace length can dramatically change the way a piece looks when worn.

The same necklace can create a completely different impression depending on where it sits on the neckline.

As a general guide:

Necklace Length Approximate Placement Style
14–16 in Close to the neck / upper neckline Delicate & refined
16–18 in Around the collarbone Classic & versatile
18–20 in Below the collarbone Elegant & relaxed
20–24 in Upper chest Statement & layered
24+ in Lower chest Long & distinctive

Actual placement may vary depending on body shape, neck size, pendant size, and necklace design.

How to Choose Your Necklace Length

For a Minimal Look

Choose a shorter necklace that sits close to the neckline.

This works beautifully with open necklines and creates a subtle, elegant appearance.

For Everyday Elegance

A medium-length necklace around the collarbone is one of the most versatile choices.

It can complement casual outfits, workwear, dresses, and evening looks.

For Layering

Different necklace lengths can be combined to create depth and dimension.

Try pairing shorter delicate chains with longer pieces for a sophisticated layered look.

For a Statement

Longer necklaces can create a more distinctive silhouette and work particularly well with simple or minimal outfits.

Bracelet Size Guide

Find Your Comfortable Fit

Bracelets should feel comfortable while allowing natural movement.

To measure your wrist:

  1. Wrap a flexible measuring tape around the area where you normally wear your bracelet.

  2. Keep the tape comfortably snug.

  3. Record the measurement in centimeters or millimeters.

  4. Add approximately 1–2 cm depending on how loose you prefer your bracelet to feel.

General Bracelet Fit

Snug Fit: Add approximately 1 cm
Comfortable Fit: Add approximately 1.5 cm
Relaxed Fit: Add approximately 2 cm

Individual bracelet designs may fit differently depending on their construction and clasp style.

Always check the specific product measurements where provided.

How Should a Bracelet Fit?

A bracelet should sit comfortably against your wrist without feeling restrictive.

If you prefer a more elegant, fitted appearance, choose a closer fit.

If you prefer movement and a relaxed look, allow additional room.

For chain bracelets, charms, and designs with larger elements, consider how the design will move around your wrist when selecting your preferred fit.

Earrings

Finding the Right Proportion

Earrings generally do not require a traditional size measurement, but dimensions can affect how a piece looks when worn.

When viewing an earring product page, pay attention to:

  • Overall length

  • Width

  • Pendant dimensions

  • Hoop diameter

  • Stone size

  • Weight, where provided

A small difference in dimensions can create a noticeable difference in appearance.

For a subtle everyday look, smaller designs may offer effortless elegance.

For a statement look, consider larger silhouettes or longer drops.

Pendant & Charm Dimensions

When shopping for necklaces with pendants or charms, remember that the chain length and pendant size are separate measurements.

For example, a necklace may have an 18-inch chain while the pendant itself measures 10 mm.

Always review both measurements when deciding how the piece will sit and appear when worn.

Measuring Tips

For the most accurate measurements:

Use millimeters whenever possible.

Use a flexible measuring tape for wrists.

Use a non-stretch material when measuring fingers.

Measure more than once.

Do not pull string or paper excessively tight.

Measure at a comfortable room temperature.

Consider the width of the jewelry when selecting a fit.

Buying a Ring as a Gift?

Choosing a ring size for someone else can feel challenging.

If possible, discreetly borrow a ring they already wear on the intended finger and use it to determine the inside diameter.

Keep in mind that fingers differ in size, so a ring worn on one finger may not indicate the correct size for another.

If you are still uncertain, consider choosing a design where sizing flexibility or resizing options are available, where applicable.

If you need assistance before placing an order, our Customer Support team is always happy to help you review the available measurements for a particular piece.

Product-Specific Measurements

While this guide provides general sizing information, individual TEYSEN & CO. pieces may have their own specific dimensions.

For the most accurate information, always review the measurements listed on the individual product page before purchasing.

Product-specific measurements should take priority over general sizing guidance.
